Default AC nerfs

Well I went to Chaparral today and broke down and bought a set of AC nerfs, could not beat the price of $147.00 in stock. (Pro-pegs with heel guards)
They have 3 more in stock if anyone else wanted a set. Anyway is there any tips out there to make this install go fast and easy.
They had a Baja x there as well for $5,999.00 damn good looking quad, in case someone was looking for one in SO. CA. area.
Damn spent about 4 hours walking around that toy store, one hour just looking at the tire department.

Please tell us how well they mount, there have been a few issues with mounting and I would like to hear if they fit better for you.

Ok after 2 hours there still not on, right side the fight is great, left side the guy who weilded this was so far out in left feild it's not funny.
UUUGGGG all the bad post about the fit, and I still got a set. They look great though, going to have to do some minor cuting and reweilding tomorrow.

You can get a catalog from them, are get the phone number from the site above.
And yes $147 for AC pro-pegs with heel guard. Though I can't get them on yet, but look very good resting in place.

K! With some metal removing I got left side installed today. What a pain in the butt that was, those nerfs look to damn nice though.
So for $147 I think it was ok, if they weilded the left as nice as the right it would have been a very easy install.

Same problem I had over a year ago and they still can't get them right. They have a severe case of head-in-a$$ and I think its going to take a crane to remove it. Until then buyer beware! Great price though.

ok heres the short story..i got 2 diff sets of nerfs.1 set are white bos and the other are ac..the ac 1 didnt line up for anything had to tweak it.and the bolt kit was confuseing the bolt that go through pegs are way to small..the white bros fitt better and didnt mount through the engine mount.personally i think if you had a bad crash it would protect engine better..ill be sending the ac bars back..ps you can make them wk but you shouldnt have to force them.bluesman 03 baja

i will NEVER buy ANYTHING from ac racing ever again.....
i bought my pro pegs back in december 17 of 2003! i STILL dont have the damn things mounted!
after FINALLY getting some new mounts, i go to put the nets on and notice they forgot to weld a tab for one of the nets...not a big deal, but i paid 225 shipped for mine, and for 200 bucks you would think they would get it right....

if you can weld and want to risk it 150 is a great price... if ac would only clean them up they would be a great product, but they dont.... (wouldnt you think it would be easier to make a few minor changes in the design than to listen to 10 complaints every day?)
