I'm new to the DS scene. I just got a good deal on an 2000 DS last week. I'm gonna change the oil this week and I bought Quaker State "Peak Performance" 10W30. Will I have any problems running this oil?

Is it the car oil they make or the atv oil? That is the main difference whether you will have problems or not.

Almost all high qaulity car oils contain friction modifiers which will kill your clutch

If you stick to motorcycle specific oil you should have no problems at all, I have only ever ran fully synthetic oils in my bikes on and off road , its a piece of mind thing with me
