Clutch Issues Again
#1
My stage II and just recently added alky is slipping the clutch again. I had a new stock clutch installed last fall and have about 30-40 hours of run time since. I mostly drag race using 4-Snow's and stock Othsu's and the sand varies from powder dry to sopping wet. I know that alot of you guy's have alot more motor than I and I'm curious what you are doing. Maybe 30-40 hours is normal but it seems that these clutches should last longer than that. Here's my thought.
If someone would make a clutch basket just a little deeper than the stock one that would allow the use of a extra stock plate and fiber coupled with maybe the 60% RW springs...that is if there is enough room for the deeper basket. The extra thickness of the of the added fiber and plate would bring the 60% RW spring tention up. The Pami spring might be to much...I don't know. I know that Alba has a extra plate/fiber clutch but heard they slip faster than stockers. Just a thought. Maybe there's a clutch combination already in exsistance...if so please enlighten me.
Thanks
