Default I have a question?

I took my direct carb mount filter off and put the air tube and the K&N that goes with it back on. I noticed that when i put the tube and filter on it, it made it kind of sluggish through first second and have of third gear. Would doing this make me have to change my pilot jet. Because when i get about 5500rpm's (or somewhere around there) the power comes on really stronge like it is suppost to. So i know my main jet is ok but i was needing to know should i change my pilot jet to make it leaner or do i need to make it richer? I think i need to make it leaner but i am just making sure because i am not a jetting expert. Thanks for all the help. Lance

I would try to adjust the air/fuel screw on the bottom of the carb first. This is on the stock carb right?

The air / fuel screw as well as the needle perhaps. set the air / fuel screw at either 2.5 or 3.0 turns out, i don't think anyone has ever done anything different from that. (except for 2.75 turns out!)

I was talking about the stock carburetor, so never mind what I said. I've never tried to tune a TM45.

Well guys i found my problem didnt hit me until about an hour of thinking. Well ya know the vent hose on the right hand side of the air tube? I forgot to plug that hole and it was sucking air in, so i plugged it and problems are gone. LMAO That about my luck. Thanks for the help guys. Lance
