headlight obtions

Where are they breaking? Is it the lens or the tabs? Most people break the tabs when the quad rolls. I am not sure if the 04 light is any less prone to breaking the tabs in a rollover. I know the 04 light is plastic. If its cracking the lens from rocks, you might want to try and build some type of wire mesh to help protect it. I have seen a clear protective film that you can apply over the lens, I am not sure how effective it would be against preventing the lens from cracking.
Another option is to do away with the factory mounting location and get to small billet lights. You can probably mount them in a more protected area. As far as light output, trailtech makes small billet hid lights that are somewhat reasonable in price and the HID out put will be better then the stock bulb.

Lots of people put in the '04 headlight and like the results. The prices I paid are in there, but TVI also makes a kit that is the same thing for $40 more if you like to spend the money.
