Default OIL CHANGE QUESTION.

i 've had my ds for a year and i have never changed the oil my self , i barely rode it last year because of work, it was done once at dealer when it was in the shop. my question is which hose do i disconect to drain the oil tank up front the, the manual show's a small metal looking hose or tube which i dont seem to have, my guess is it's the one that goes down on the left side by gear selector from the tank.

That is the hose...When I change my quads oil i pull the end connecting to the motor off first then when it quits draining pull the side off the tank...the end by the tank has a small inline screen in it that i like to keep an eye on..

It's the hose on the left side of the motor that comes down from the oil tank. Disconnect it and drain the tank. You will have to somehow blow the rest of the oil out of the tank from the filler neck.

You can take the hose off and the fitting out and clean the screen that everyone always talks about, or there is a plug right next to it that you can also drain the tank with also. Don't forget to drain the cases as well there will be about a quart in there.

Yep, there is a plug on the oil tank and one on the bottom of the engine.
