DS. . . of course!
I ride the Sand and haven't ridden anything better for where I ride.
But. . . A Ferrrari is a great sports car but, it isn't any good for a family of four or for bringing a sheet of plywood home. . . A Sk Nautique is a great ski boat but, would you take it out in the rough ocean? My point is. . there are a lot of great quads out there. What kind of riding do you do? How much do you weigh? How tall are you?
The same way Shaq wouldn't drive a Honda Accord (unless he was sitting in the back seat) even though it is a great car. . . the DS is a great quad for the bigger riders regardless of where they ride. If you aren't a bigger rider. . . where do you ride? MX = DS may not be the best choice (again, unless you are a larger rider.)
Fire roads, Desert, dunes, larger rider, or just want a comfortable ride so you can go all day = DS is a great choice.

I think the baja x is a better machine all around. The only thing it gives up to the predator is a little weight. The ds is faster, has a better ride, has a lot more availible in the aftermarket, is capable of much more power, and the baja x comes with more addons.
Unless you are a smaller guy, or you are worried about possible price differences, go with the baja x.

Thanks for all the responses. It's appreciated
Here's the deal.......I've never even owned a 4x4 before. My girl and I are getting 2 this weekend. I'm the type of person who gets bored very easily. I also decided to place the Scrambler 500 in the mix as well.
I'm 30, 5'11 220 (bodybulider)
I live in Cleveland, Ohio------so NO sand dunes.
I've had a ton of motorcycles, so I really MISS the shifting of gears and the adreneline RUSH..........this is WHY I wanted something FAST as hell.
Thoughts?

Its truly personal preference in my opinion.
Most of us larger riders enjoy the size of the DS (6'3" 205lb). Generally the other bikes are just to small. I have a friend who owns a Pred, its a really nice bike. A little more nimble due to the reduced weight and size, but to me, it just doesn't have the commanding power and size Im comfortable with on the DS. What type of riding are you planning on? slow trails, forest open field?
THe DS is truly a power monster! I have not regretted buying mine!
Good luck with your decision!

i had the same choice you did about a week ago. i got everything goign against me on the ds. im 5'8 130 lbs and ride only trails since their arnt any sand dunes around here, but i love the thing. anytime you come to the end of a trail just turn the wheels and give it gas and your right in the opposite direction. tons of power, i love it. only thing i have goin aginst it is that it seams really heavy.

This is a quote of myself in another post, which should tell you why I won two DS650s, a website about them as well as almost every DS650 toy etc I've ever seen or heard of:
"I just like to spend my money once, the DS doesn't break, thus I spend my money on upgrades, not replacement parts."
The Predator is not a bad machine, and any machine you buy you'll enjoy.
