Jetting for different altitude?
#1
We are leaving early june for little sahara (utah) for about a week. (june 4th i believe we leave...)
anyway i would like to get the quad jetted as close as possible for that far west. any suggestions? my current elevation is about 800ft.
im running a 175 (mikuni) main, stock pilot, clip on 3rd position, and fuel screw is usually 2-3 out. (im still working on the jetting though, as it seems to run way too hot (can feel it, and the fan runs a LOT even after short runs)

Just for around here, you may want to go with a 45 pilot, I run a 47.5 around here in southern iowa and it reads perfect on an exhaust gas analyzer. I also run a 180 main. Clip third position. That may help you here. They usually run hot for slow runs if the pilot is lean and they run hot wide open if the main is lean. I don't know about jetting for out there, but if you are running a little lean here, it should be perfect up there. Good luck.
