can you take the factory spark arrestor out and leave the stock end cap? if so do you have to change the jets or will it be fine?

rykid, that's the first thing I did to my '03 baja. Remove the cap and cut the spark arrestor off as close to the back of the cap as possible, I used a cut of wheel. Depends on how your running but I was way rich when I cut mine off so rejetting for me was cured by gaining flow. Yes you should notice a difference once you get the jetting right.

yeh im not to good with all this stuff not up for taking the carb apart haha [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] i know ill screw something up and ill never be able to ride again

To get accurate speeds use a GPS.

I raced a guy with a weekend with a trail tech speedo. He set it up and tested it against a road bike with a speedo to make sure its in the right ballpark. He could not get more than 85 miles per hour out of his Baja X.

The bike had a Yoshi pipe, Dynojet kit, K&N and bigger intakes to the airbox and 22" tires. Stock gearing and sprockets.
