Default Aledo Race Cancelled!

I have had alot of PM's regarding this place, so if any or ALL of yall want to make the trip down thier we can have a real goot time racing and afterwards have a big BBQ and let all the kids wear themselves out at all the other facilitys. It would be cool if the Texas guys could drive up.and also whom ever had already planned on driving in with thier Families. The LODGE thier is SUPER NICE . I can provide Phone #'s if need be.

Quartz Mountian State park is located in far SW Oklahoma, About 40 mile striat South of Elk City, OK. The closest town (on the north side) Is Granite OK. The closest town just south of the lake is Blair OK. 15 miles south of Bliar is ALTUS OK. it has a super Walmart, and plenty of restruants(pop. about 15,000). I do believe Quartz Mountain Resort has a Web site also. Or you can type in OKlahoma State parks, and find a link.

We can drag race while the kids, and the spouses sun-tan on the beach, and then afterwards we can drive around the lake and do all the rest. I have been thinking of putting on an event down thier, but I dont have the time it takes to coordinate a large event.

Its up to all of you.... I know everyone is dissapointed in the weather at ALEDO, I dont know if it is possible for all of you , but this place would actually be closer for many(especailly the people out west and east) that were traveling a long ways anyway.

This is a state park, so thier cant be any starting lights or anything official, but thier is plenty of level sand to race a half-mile if you wanted too.

Default Aledo Race Cancelled!

The race is on! You have worked for months and spent countles time and money to get ready, so leave your vacation time on the books at work and let's race!!

This will be the Southeast ATV Drag Race Nationals at Paducah, KY or it can be the Aledo Nationals "relocated" - that is entirely up to 14mins. It can be part of a 2 race series. This is a dedicated dirt drag track and is a very nice facility.

There will be a $10 gate fee that covers the entire weekend to pay the owner of the track. There will be a $5 entry fee to cover trophies.

We will have practice all day Friday and Saturday morning. The races will start approximately 2pm Saturday, but that will be determined by the amount of bikes to race. May have to start earlier, maybe later.

Concessions will be available all weekend, breakfast, lunch and supper. A band has volunteered to play on Friday or Saturday night - depending on when the most people will be there.

We will have Pro Tree lights. The track is dirt and it hooks very good. It will be worked, but it will NOT be mush a foot deep!
There will by a dyno at the track all weekend.

There will be race fuel 110 octane, 118 octane, methanol, nitrous, and premium fuels available to purchase.

Whatever magazine was covering Aledo - we want them!! They already had plans for it, so they might as well come up to Western Kentucky. Who has contact info?

If you need parts at the track, call ahead of time and we'll have them there. If you break Friday afternoon, we can next day sat air parts.

WE NEED TO KNOW:
How many people are coming! contact Ward660r to confirm or deny your registration AND contact me to let me know how many people are in your party, whether your camping or need motel suggestions, when you want to arrive (if Thursday night, we will have someone there to let you in), how many t-shirts and what size you want (we have to get that order in ASAP), when will you leave (Sat night or Sunday morning?), if your staying till Sunday morning, would you like to have worship services available?, do you want concessions available for breakfast, lunch, and supper?, what night would you prefer to have the band play, how many people intend to utilize the dyno services, how many people think they will purchase fuel, methanol, or nitrous at the track?

Please answer all these questions in an email to me at recreationspec@aol.com.
Please contact ward660r as well to let him know how many bikes your bringing to run in what class.

directions and specific track rules will be up on the hpresearch.net website soon. We will run the classes and rules as already planned. We have been running drag races up here for atv's since 1981, so we have an idea of what we're doing (and if we don't - then we never will!)

It sounds like the fastest of the fast are already making plans to come- TheBom, Mr Horsepower, KenzCycle. If you think your faster- come up and show them!!!
