To my knowledge there is no diffference in exhaust dimensions between all model yeares 00-05. So I don't know why they are specifying 03 and 04.

As for the sparky, I do know HMF offers one but I am a little confused as to whether it comes standard or if you have to order the quiet core insert to use it.

I have been considering an end-cap but really need a sparky for the trails. So I may be looking at the HMF.

I don't make that decision. Mr. park ranger does. Its the law in a lot of places I ride and I wouldn't want to be the one responsible for burning down thousands of acres of forest.

HMFs come with a spark arrestor, at least mine did. And it saves about five pounds compared to just an end cap mod. If you get the IMS heel guards and Roll Design pegs you save another four pounds. Plus the combination of a polished HMF slip-on, polished IMS heel guards, chrome Roll Design pegs, and polished ITP T9 wheels looks good too.

I love my HMF slip-on!!
So much more power for just 200 clams.
Just there and some other little mods with
fine tuning give my raptor 47 hp!!
Much more to come!!!

the end cap will give you more hp's than any slip on can, the dyno's
are out there but if you need an arrester the hmf is the only one that even comes close.
look at hpresearch.com

they come in all colors for the bomb's

I like my HMF slip on. Had one since 01. Been through a couple of design changes with them, they always take it back & update me. Waiting to see what kind of power their new quiet series will make. Should be out this month maybe.
Yes the spark arrestor can be used with or without the quiet insert.
