Default TURBO Desert Racer

Well the new turbo desert racer had its inaugural run this weekend at Cinder Mountain in flagstaff AZ. Although the weekend was not a total success I got to tell you I was more than impressed. The quad ran flawless except for a small overheating problem that accrued in a six mile stretch of monster uphill whoops that tried to swallow me more than once. I guess I can’t feel too bad because there were several other quads that over heated in that section of track. We have plans on hitting a New Mexico race in July. After talking to Kelly over at KMS I’m confident the over heating problem is behind us. Did I mention the power “WOW” I know you drag racers are used to that kind of power but us desert racers have been deprived.
I posted some photos of the new system….

I see you are running an IMS tank. Are you running Alky in the turbo?

How did you find the milage to be compared to before? Any issues with not having sufficient fuel to finish the race?

No... I don’t have any team mates and it’s to long to iron man. I do plan on doing the best in the desert series next year though.

This last race was on gas.. if it is hot and I am anticipating it will be the next race in July will probably be on alky

I was averaging about 65-70 mil to a tank. Ether way I would have had to stop for gas once.

Big Dog:

I'm interested!!! I'm pretty sure I have a couple other riders that are interested too. They raced the Terrible Town 250 a couple years back and we talked about doing it this year but, other things got in the way.

Jeff & Nick are also interested! See Jeff's posts for their pics from the race.

How much boost were you running?

How many HP did you figure you had?

If I remember right you have a stock bore. Any valve / head work? Cams, piston?

That race is June 24-27 that’s not enough time to get all the logistics and bike ready maybe next year
