I went to get new seals from the dealer for the axle carrier. They show this wear ring that fits into the seal. It is beveled on one end and it fits in to the rubber seal. My DS does NOT have this? I have the bearings then the seal that is lightly pressed in. The axle just goes right throuh those. Well am I suposed to have these and they never were installed at the factory?? This means that the bearing seals dont touch the axle lime mine, this wear ring would??? I know the manual shows this part..

I know what you are talking about. I saw them on the parts diagram, but mine didn't have them stock (at least I didn't see those parts). On my current setup I am not using them, no problems so far.
