ok 2 weeks ago I was riding and shut it off and it would not start. everytime I hit the starter the little solinoid in the backside of the battery would either buzz or click depending on where the starter switch was.. was it turns out that a loose ground was causing that and now it turns over but we are getting NO spark to the plugs, everything else is working and we are getting power to the coil but nothing to the plugs.. is there a fuse or something that would be cutting power from the coils becuase I find it hard to believe that both coils would go bad at once.. anyone got any ideas what this could be??

 

That's tough one, loose ground wires are no fun. I assume the kill switch is in the On position(it will turn over in the off postion just no spark). Check connectors under the dash are to make sure they are tight, check coil wires. Try a new plug. If you have a good freind with a DS, try a differant CDI (it controls the spark). Is the battery fully charged? try a battery charger while turning over. Check to make sure ther are no other ground wires that my be loose.

Like I said. it's a tough one but just keep trying things.

 

I had the same exacy problem. check to see if you have power coming out of your cdi box, I did not so I bought a new one and that was my problem. my old box was stock my new one is ron woods.
