The starting line is the only place to pass 20 bikes at once!! That's why the ds is such an advantage. I'll add to the DS accolades that it isn't just a duner- Friday night 1/2 mile oval- 1st place in Open Pro!! Man, it sure is nice to holeshot everyone by several bikes into the first corner. Anybody else ever gone into a corner at 75mph full throttle? Try it- what a rush!

Where do you race on a 1/2 mile oval? I used to race on a 1/8 mile oval in NH, and would have died to race on a 1/4 mile. 1/2 mile has got to be sweet.

Mayfield, Sturgis, and Paducah, Ky once a year during the fairs. We also race regularly on a 3/8 mile inside, 1/2 mile outside banked oval stock car track.

Nothing like getting sideways! I sure miss that. I was racing my little 250 quadsport in the stock 4 stroke class and since the track was so small I never got it out of 3rd gear. I can't imagine going wide open down a straight on a DS and then throwing it sideways on a banked 1/2 mile. That must be a blast.

Yes, we have a local series in Kentucky. It's always been pretty big around here. Nicky Hayden comes and races with us sometimes too. He lives in Owensboro, Ky. Around here, people say "aw, it's just motocross racing".

The ATVA tt series also has several 3/8 miles on the schedule.

The place that I raced at was called Sugar Hill Speedway. It is just a little ways west of Concord. Not sure if it is still a dirt track, but it looks like they don't race bikes or ATV's there anymore. Where's "Jollys"?
