I have a 00 ds 650 with an old style tm45. a couple questions. will i benefit from getting the new style. Also, the accelerator pump is not activated. can you get rid of that dead spot when you hammer the throttle without activating the pump. i have rode them with the pump activated and the thumb throttle is very stiff. if i activate it can i fix the stiff thumb throtttle. please help.

the stiff throttle can be over come, if you gota order the acc. pump kit, order the lighter throttle return spring to. twist the spring to make it tighter a bit. ( it takes a little trial and error) to get it perfect. If I recall right I took a little tenchen off the acc, pump spring to. This work perfectly. I have no flat spot none, nata 30 pilot 145main-( for now) clip on 4-5 from top. no lid, no snork tubes. intake boot on.

I think you need to be up around 40-45 in the pilot to get rid of that flat spot w/ out the pump.

are you running a clamp on filter?

get a #50 nozzle for your pump. mine had a 70 in it and was way to much fuel.
