there are people talking over here in the UK about a DS450.
is this BS or is there any truth in it, just wondered if you guys knew more that us??

 

That rumor has been passed around for a couple years now... It would be cool though!

 

I think there were some posts here about it. If alzheimer's hasn't set in too far, I want to say that it was in the works, but it was temporarily put on the back burner since the Bombardier family was in the process of buying back the recreational division. We might see a new 450 machine within 3 years.

Wouldn't it be sweet if they used that Aprilia V-Twin 450 (75 hp). Someone here said that motor weighs less than the YFZ 450.

Was talking to my dealer yesterday about this topic. He isn't holding his breath for a Bomb 450. He did confirm that 450 is a Rotax built engine. I wasn't sure of that but, sounds like it is. I would still like to see someone from Bomb or Rotax tell me it is but, a good sign when the dealer says it is.

That has got to be the hot ticket. Injected and two small cylinders gives low emissions and quieter sound. Very important things in today's riding environment.

I told my dealer to put my name at the top of the list for this quad. I would sell my Wife's Raptor in a heart-beat and get her one of these. I'm sure it would be light (which is what she needs in case she get's stuck). Don't need reverse but, the power would have to be awesome [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

This is an on again off again situation, they have had some test mules in the past and I still believe it is in their eventual plans to invade the 450 class, when it will happen is a mystery but I believe we will see the day where there is a DS 450.

all for a price tag of 6k (hell, id pay 10k for that lol)

 

The critical thing here is that the Aprillia motor is built for a motocross bike......It delivers sizling performance and light weight.......So,,,,what is the problem? Time, my friend, time.
