Its more like BWM has a Rotax motor. And Bombardier uses Rotax motors too. I think that Rotax is best known for their Aircraft Engines . I could be wrong but thats where I hear of them most.

Bombardier is HUGE in the aerospace and Aviation industry .... Have you ever heard of Learjet? The ATV portion of their company is small taters in comparison.

the heavy industry and aerospace portion is no longer tied to the recreational division. The Bombardier family bought the recreation division back.

Rotax is a division of Bombardier Rec.
Sea-Doo, Ski-Doo, ATV all use Rotax engines.
Rotax engines are also very common in Ultra-light's and shifter carts
Bombardier also owns Johnson and Evenrude outboard motors and Rotax engines are inside.
The BMW F650 has used the Rotax 650 engine for years. Additionally, Aprilla used that engine in one of their bikes.

I've also heard that the new twin cylinder 450 4-stroke that Aprilla is using is made by Rotax. . . we can only hope that is correct and one day that engine will make its way into a quad. . . I think it is about 75 to 80 HP
