Low RPM bog??

Went riding today and towards the end of the day, I started to have a noticable low rpm bog/miss. Seemed to run good when run hard thru the gears, but when I was just "puttin" around is when I could notice the problem. We were riding in a real dusty area and when I looked at my K&N..under the outerwears, it was real dirty. Could this be causing the problem?
I was surprised how fast the dust seemed to collect on the filter, as I always keep the K&N cleaned.
Only mods I have are a Moded end cap, 170 main, clip at richest and air screw 3.5 turns out.
Any ideas?

I run a similar setup with no problems.
175 Main, needle in 4th stock position, air screw in stock position, K&N with outer wear and mod quad end cap.
15T front gear and 22" razr2 on rear.
I only notice bog and missing when main tank runs very low, switch to reserve and everything goes back to normal.

If your bike doesent run right and it did before somthing has changed
Always start with the obvios
Air filter
plugs
fuel (is the carb clean and suppling fuel)
strenght of spark
valve clearances
once you know al these things are right
Then get a bit more into it.
So in short yes a blocked filter will make an engine run crap fuel needs air to burn

I hope it's just a dirty air filter. Did you clean and test it out yet?
I just went riding on Sunday and mine would bog under 4k rpm's.
I didn't check the filter, but it's REAL dusty when we ride. So I'm betting it's just a dirty filter. My DS has about 10 rides on it, including 4 Dunes trips without cleaning...........

If you are running the stock needle, then having the needle in the 5th groove for trail riding maybe too rich.
That along with a dirty filter has put you over the edge.
Pull out one sparkplug and see how it looks.
If end is black and porcelain lightly tan, Needle too high.
If end is black and porcelain very dark, Filter really dirty.
