for example my zx9r banshee was going 68 mph at sand montain but I was dead even with a banshee that only went 61 ...
The whole shot is where the weight really takes away from the potentail ...
that r1 bike was turbo charged if I remember .... and it was really long and it would just pass then banshee's at the top

Shane I agree it can be built for less after looking into it a bit more today.. In fact I could get one built for 8K ith a tip top appearance. Of course this Price is with me supplying the chassy.
I have really thought about it. I am happy with my bike, It has ran very hard for quit a while now (knock on wood) I will look into some other options as well. I should be @ sand mt Nev, Are you going? Besides, Ya have to have both bikes, reg. 4 stroke and this bigger type of machine, cause after a while people will not line up with ya, And they will whine about that busa 1300cc.

When I am riding the turbo bike (which I found out needs a shift fork when I took it to Oregon) I feel like you should always win even when you race a fast banshee (street bike quads almost always look faster than they are). I do not like that I would rather have my sleeper 400ex and be the guy that is not supposed to win.
I will also tell you that the diff between 50mph and 70mph is a lot. If you loose it at 70 it is going to hurt !!!!
I will not make to SM it is just too hot for the family .... I will see you at dumont .... I have a new carb (46mm lectron) and intake . I will run the lecton on alky and I also have a needle for alky/nitro. I hope I can get into the 50mph range on the dumont hill ...

Well said Shane.
I think people expect a 760 or a turbo or a Ron Wood Stage III or a 720, etc. to win and it isn't as much fun defending yourself as it is suprising others.
Nothing better than beating Shee's but, I do miss lining up against the Piped/high compression / cam'd Raptor's and having a close race.
I'm pretty happy with my 50mph speed. I can tell you there is a huge difference between 40 and 50mph too. I was probably slower than 40 before but, it was gas to the top of the hill and no brakes at the top. The slope of the hill would slow you down plenty fast enough. Now, the longer I keep on the gas the harder I have to brake at the top.
I can't immagine going 70 much less 90 like a small few of these drag Shee's are going.
Who knows, I may hop on one of those Turbo's at DS Day's and feel like I just took a bottle of Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word .

"The whole shot is where the weight really takes away from the potentail ..." I completely agree.
Hayabusa DS is probably 530lbs. The drag banshees around here are in the low 200lb range.
