Well, I am not sure what your decribing but mine that I got last year has a lock nut then you set it with a screw drivers. You just set the tension with by turing the man shaft then locking it with the lock nut.

What do you want more tight?? chain tension or nut preasure??
Here is how I did mine.
Install the body in and get it snug into the head. I forgot the torque spec I used..
Then back off the nut that is around the shaft.. using a flat screw driver turn the shaft util you get I think 1 or 2 mm of travle on the chain on top of the t bracket between the cams..
Then using a screw driver to hold the shaft in place lock down the large nut to keep it in place.. Mine has not moved in over a year.

lmao.... i was thinking the ajuster and the chrome nut were one piece....ive been starring at that nut for two days...yep yep yep, that was one of the easier task ive had to do on my quad..lol...wish i wouldnt of made it so difficult...thanks for the help guys.....oh yah theres another thing, do either of u know the trick to getting the nut on top of your rear shock tightend up........ive almost tried every thing...looks like it would be easier if i took it off my bike, but i really dont want to do that unless i have too, the sag isnt that bad , but it does need to be tighter....thanks again..
