Thanks CountryJoe.

From the last predicted path I saw it is taking a coarse a little closer to what Fredrick did, but both storms were terrible.

I live about 2.5 hours drive northeast of New Orleans and about 1.75 hours north of Gulfport. I also work at night and have a lot of free time while on the clock. So I sat up near where the interstate runs through the town I work in watching all the people and helping some with directions. One of the guys I talked to left New Orleans at 11:00 am Tuesday morning and he had been driving non stop since then. When I talked to him it was 3:00 am on Wensday morning. Thats how bad the traffic is on the interstate. Everybody looking for motels around here and there were no rooms available for at least another 3 hour drive. It was sad to see some of these rather large families packed into a car with as many prescious belongings they could fit in with their pets as well.

Thoughts and prayers go out to everybody that is going to have to deal with this storm!

Ward, I live roughly 3 to 3 1/2 hours west of New Orleans. Traffic was bumber to bumber on I-10 from yesterday afternoon through today. It doesnt seem the traffic is letting up which is a good thing. People playing it safe. Theres not a hotel left in Lake Charles or Shreveport. Also heard that all hotels in Houston, Tx were full aswell. People having to drive to San Antonio for rooms.

Sandman, once again. Be safe and when it starts to get ruff take shelter in the middle of the house in a door way, away from windows. Good Luck. Give us a heads up when you can.
