Scooby, I'm very interested in the DS650 and you seem to be the one that is most familiar with this big boy. In stock form did you have problems with the DS650.. and if so, what was the common headaches. Your help is really appreciated!!!!
P.S. I looked at the DS650 yesterday and I can't explain the rush I got from this monster...I'm very impressed with the DS650.
Calling down the middle....

$7299 isn't gonna help it in it's struggle to compete with the Raptor! I don't think that was very smart on Bombardier's part. If they succeeded in putting it on a 70 lb. diet, then I could see the price increase justification!

People get mad when I post negative things about the DS650. If you just review the posts from the past 8 months you'll see them. I think www.bombardierds650.com should maintain a list of all the DS650 problems that have been reported.

The 2001's have been at the dealers for a while. As for the problems. They are too numerous to list, it seems I have been talking with Bombardier for a long time and the problems may still not be fixed. The last big problem has been the valves were out of adjustment big time...still getting gas in the oil. People always criticize when someone says something bad, so that is why I do not post as much anymore.

Well, I actually did not, my dealer did, and put a 2001 carb on mine to see if that would stop the gas in the oil. So far it has not done it. Before that my dealer wasinstructed to change the needle and seat after he changed a spring, adjusted the needle, adjusted the valves, adjusted the floats, adjusted the jetting and completely cleaned it. ***WARNING*** if you take the gas tank off, make sure you do not pinch the vent tubes, or your bike will suck for gas and die like mine did all weekend. Easy fix though.
