so the dual 39s are better for a bigger valve motor.

i just installed a set of duels on mine...i have been out of town so i havent been able to tune it yet..i took it out for a test run after i installed them, i am running lean so the comparison might not be very accurate. i felt the tm45 had was stronger on the bottem to mid range- but from mid to high rpms i thought the duels felt a little stronger...it does rev-out alot faster on top then the 45...i actally think the tm 45 on alky is real close to the duels on gas...but i do have alot of jetting to do.....i have the same bog on bottem as the tm45's do with out the accel pump...but i have the accel pump activated on the duels...i dont know if that is normal for this carb or if it can be tuned away.

I to felt the exact same way when i went from the 45 to the 39's. But once i got the duels dialed in I like them just fine. Not the exteem gains i was hoping for over the 45 though. It is enough though that i'll stick with the duels. Sorry I can't answer your original question though I've never run the 48. Mario has and will probably tell you he liked the 48 better. and the also tell you to get the HV48 instead of the TM.

No it did not. If you mean when you wack the throttle from dead idle. I tried to turn the suirters so that they didn't spay a solid treem of fuel into the valve openings. But couldn't get them to turn. SO I gave up before I broke one off. If thats not the bog you mean then you will be happy when ya get them dialed in. My bigest problem was the pilot screws. There a bitch to do on the bike.
