JUST BOUGHT A OFF NAME BRAND OF ALUMINUM HANDEL BARS. MINE WERE BENT. SO I PUT ON THE NEW ONES AND THEY HIT MY TANK COVER ABOUT A HALF INCH BEFORE MY STEERING STEM BASE HITS THE STOPPERS. ANYONE KNOW WHAT TYPE OF HANDLEBAR BEND WILL WORK ON A DS. THE BARS I GOT WERE SUPPOSE TO BE FOR SPORT QUADS .

 

Tone down the caps lock man, looks like its been on for a while since your name and sig are in caps lock too.

The raptor has the same problem with a high tank. You can buy a set of bars specifically for the ds if you look either on ebay or an online shop that carries name brand bars. Other than that you need to measure the stock bars and compare those measurements with the new bars before you get them.

caps, is short for capital letters. CAPITAL vs. non capital letters. hit the button that says "cap lock" the light shoud go off.

 

thanks for the tip. i know what caps lock is.... do you know what lol is.... thats laugh out loud like i wrote after that post .... now do you pick up on the sarcasm...lol thanks though......... anyway back to my original question handelbars.... will a cr bend work. i know some bends will work for more than one bike.

 

All I did was buy four longer bolts & put a 1/2" spacer plate under handle bar clamps. I use aluminum bar stock for spacer. Quick, easy & cheap. Thanks for turning off the caps lock & welcome to the forums.

haha... i like that billsner.. you would fit in great w/ me and my friends... i was alittle hesitant to make a wise crack on here cause i didnt want everyone to think i was a jerk. but you fired it right back ....lol... cool. anyway i like the spacer idea. aluminum is so much lighter than stock. thanks for the replies so far
