I just fixed my brother in-laws DS a few weeks ago, IF it does make noise when idleing and beyond pull the tensioner and see if it is collapsed or replace it, its simple as that. If yours is bad order one from ron wood racing!

I dont think so , Then again im not a Mech. that works on this stuff day in and day out. I personnaly think its the nature of the beast and has never caused any performance issues.
Like you said they do go away.

However you and I can only assume that the noise were talking about is the same thing when in fact it may not be. If your concerned, it would be in your best intrest to take it to a Mech. and have him listen to it.... It may not even cost you anything if the guys cool enough.

Mine did the same thing.i raised the idle slightly and the tick went away.i think the idle is set too low and the tick is the decompressor making the noise.

I appreciate the input guys. It can't possibly be the tensioner becaue it does it at a stand still, I believe that the low idle might be my ticket, but I am still concerned because it does it at low speed. I will let the mechanic check it out during the 20 hr.
