outlander max vs sportsman 700
Hello from a newby.
Looking for a quad. Last atv was a honda three wheeler... yep been a while.
I am iterested in the outlander max. dont' know but looks like a pretty cool bike. Don't want to jump the doubles or anything, but some recreational riding on trails. Seems like a big bike, but the sales guy says it handles good on trails. Comparing to a polaris sportsman 700. The outlander is a 400 but again the rep says plenty. I want to use it around the ranch for pulling a trailer and moving stuff from time to time. Any input would be great

I just traded a 700 Sportsman for a new 400XT this past Teusday evening. It's been raining quite a bit here, so I've only had the Outlander out twice for a total of just over 4 hours so far. The 400 is not as fast as the 700 , but it's easier to handle, more fun to pitch into a corner, and I love the seat . My impression so far is that I'm going to enjoy this machine a bit more than any of the 3 Sportsmans I've had, even though I liked & enjoyed each of them .
