Branching out!!

Ok, I started with a 250 Yamaha Bear Crapper, moved up to the Bruin 350, then the Outlander 330, Yamaha TTR250 dirtbike, DS650 Baja X........now my latest Honda Shadow Spirit 750 street cruiser.
So get this. I call about this bike in the paper, avg. price so I wait for the ad to expire then call to see if it's still available. It was so I take a look at it, seller is a pretty cute little blonde who is pretty motivated. Well we go to start it and the battery is dead (you'd think you would check this stuff out before you put it in the paper) which also means nobody else really looked at it closely. Well I make her an offer on the condition that it starts up and runs, so she lets me take the battery to charge it....it doesn't hold a charge.......So, now to day THREE......A new battery is $144 at the dealer (which is the ONLY place that had one) I was like WTF??? So I call around and finally find one that is a lot cheaper. I finally get over there to put it in, the connector screws are missing <ughhhh> SOOOOOOOO I happen to have my dirbike battery with me just in case, I use the screws and connectors from that to get it connected and it fires up just fine. Day FOUR<today> I finally pick up the bike and get it home. Drained the gas, replaced it with fresh gas, spray some cleaner in the carb, lube the chain and it runs like a champ. Only 1700 miles on an 01. Looks brand new other then a ding in the gas tank and a sticker she removed left some residue on the tank. This is my first street bike but it was up to 65-70 in third gear.
BTW, to make for an amuzing story. We sit down to sign the paperwork and I look down and there is a recpt. from a video rental store with some REAL HARDCORE stuff listed...I was like <BLANK, BLANK, BLANK> did she leave that there on purpose? I guess she really wanted to sell that bike pretty bad huh? <VBEHG>

Nice buy, BUT- the main focus here is on the blond forget about the bike for now.. lol!!!. If she wasnt married she probably just took her other ex-half to the cleaners and is selling off his stuff. Just my observation. Now you need to find a reason to call her up and take her on the quads. Thats a pretty good eye to see her reciept like that. LMAO, Makes me wonder what was on that reciept in detail. I would have to say she left it there on purpose, Ya see, she was probably courting you knowing you were going to come back. These chicks are like that these days.

That is great, I would have said something to her about the receipt, like is there anything I can help you with..lol. Yea and I agree with Mario, she was probably taking an ex husband to the cleaners. Maybe you should call her up and see if she wants to go to the dunes and ride in some sand.
Congrats on the new bike..

Well, lets just say everything you guys said went through my mind thrice...LOL. It was REALLY raunchy stuff, trust me, threesums and hardcore stuff LOL but I think she left it there by mistake. I mean, she was a mess all three times I went over there, crying on the phone to someone about something........really wasn't my scene. Thats not to say if she offered it up I wouldn't take a helping or two. ) Anyway, the BIKE seems to run great but now its raining.

Yeah, yeah, yeah..... ) Honestly, I think she left it out there by mistake and this thread is getting WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY off topic, guess we should stick to how the bike runs huh?
I gotta get it registered (yeah, she didn't renew this year <sigh> and since I don't have a license I need to bone up on a riders manual from DMV so I can get a thirty day "permit" then I have to take a drivers test LOL, just like high school all over again.
