Default Pipe or stay with endcap

Hey i modified my stock ds endcap just cut off everything inside so its 2 flush holes it worked good and sounds good perfect sound for me not to loud not to quiet and gave me some more power. I was looking at the HMF but it sounds loud in the reviews and the quiet core sounds like it takes away allot so should i stick with my endcap or get a pipe anyone have idea for a pipe thats quiet, has good power, and is not to expensive. Also would headers do much for me with stock pipe with my endcap?

I would go end cap for performance. If you need a sparky then go with a slip-on. I have a FMF Powercore 4 and it works great.

So my modified endcap would have better perfomance than a pipe?

I modified my endcap with a stainless tip, it looks good, and with the K&N and 175main jet, it made for one hek' of a gain. Topend is a little better, but from idle to about 4,500 rpm, it's a huge improvement. My friend has a Bone-Stock Baja, and i whip him every time we race. Every single time. He even has meaty aftermarket Vampire tires too. He has ridin' mine and says his feels nothing like my bike. Take a look at my pics and try it out. It's worth $15.00 , i think. From the dyno's MisterHP has done, the end cap out performs a slipon on a stock to slightly modified DS.

I had my own Modified end cap that did a good job, but just put on my new HMF this weekend. The sound is almost identical but the difference is that the packing will be blown out of the stock can in a short amount of time due to the extra flow. If you happen to keep tabs on it you will see what Im talking about. Now you get to repack it from time to time. Hey.. more mechanic fun !!! The HMF will save ya 4lbs over stock ( I weighed the difference this weekend too ) .

Check my picks... It looks good too.

Hey Redbommer I know its been a while on this subject, but ever sence I saw your end cap I wanted to do it. I found a sheet metal shop that said they could weld stainless. My question is did you also cut everything off inside? I dont want it to loud.

Dunrider, Did you weld a short pipe on yours? Or what do think of cuting everything inside and installing a 175 main jet,and leaving the stock two pipes on.
