CDI Box Question
#1
I was talking to Randall at Ken's Recreation in Ky. A dealer for MR.HP He said that installing a new cdi wouldnt help
much on my current set up. No toil filter, Mr.Hp cap and 170 jet. He stated that most of my power is going to be around
6500 to 6900 RPM, so there is no need to up the limiter. As many of you know I was having carb probs thanks to you guys and
a little thought I got that Iron out and It really screams. It seems like it pulls really hard right up to the limiter. Im wondering if I can get a bit more out of it if change the cdi. Is there much difference in all the boxes available? If so what would be the best?

what it will give you IMO is over rev. you will feel the power fall off w/ the new limmiter. if your not very good at watching the tac while your racing someone so you dont bounce off the rev limmiter and slowing you down. then get one, I feal the power start to fall off so I shift, as you get more and more practice it just becomes second nature to shift at the right rpm. but it sure is nice not to bounce off that stock limmiter any more.
the stock limmiter will come in to play more when you gear down. you will notice it there alot.
