It was good... Kinda rutted up from the rain, but hooked good out of the hole. A bunch of drunk idiots in sand rails almost killed a few people including a near miss with a kid at our camp. Pissed off a bunch of banshees...

Ya know, I noticed a bunch of girls creeping around, but I cant comment cause my lady would kill me.

Right in front of our camp (while I was at the hill) a guy ran over his buddy in a buggy, and people at our camp went over to see if the guy that got ran over was OK, But the driver was laughing (wasted) and his buddy didnt get up for 25 minutes. (some friend EHH?)

My motor held up like a scalded pig and only started to spit a little anti-freeze after the third day of hard nos runs .
So, I dont think the cyl. is cracked, at the most the head gasket leaks after so much pressure. But only after reving high on nos.

Yes it was a blast for sure. Like Mario said the sand was wet and beat up. In fact while out on dune rides it got real rough in some spots. At least it looked like it. Fortunately the DS soaks that stuff up perty well.
Thats a very long drive from Florida Mitch. What are you gonna do to get your sand fix? There has to be something out there. Better figure it out soon. Turkey day is just around the corner.

i resemble that remark. hey mario on saterday night we drove the truck to comp to party and these a$$e$ were letting off fire works in front of us. well one of there ideas was so set about 6 fire work or so in a circle and let them off in sequence. well it went terribly wrong. that kid with us alex got hit in the leg and one hit the inside of my door. i was so pi$$ed but there was about 15 of them and only 1 of me so we just whent back to camp and crashed. i cant believe we have not herd yet that somebody got killed!

For some strange reason, this years Halloween trip was unlike anyother yet. Seems as if there were a lot of idiots there this year. Almost as if we're starting to become more like Glamis.

We had a BEAUTIFUL long travel buggy in front of us on Saturday night working on his lighting for about 20 minutes or so. He then proceeded to start up, turn down in front of the rows of vehicles and proceed up Comp. Before he even got to the Dip before the hill (which everyone starts after the little dip), he hammered it and showered the entire area with rocks and sand. WE WERE PISSED! The guy comes around about 10 minutes later and appologizes to us and the driver does the exact same thing. I mean there was sand, rocks, gravel hitting our trucks families and friends. Kind of had to let the trucks get pelted and shield our children. Well, we were waiting for this guy the next time. He came down the line and I started walking over to the buggy. Just at that point, the rest of the folks had drawn the line. They started throwing beer cans, bottle you name it. Must of been about 20 people walking to his buggy. This guy then decided to get going, and instead of calmly driving away, nailed the throttle and ran over a kid (well probably a 19 or 20 year old) Man it was simply Narly. The kid got wrapped in the wheel and flung to the side. He was dazed and confused but ok. He could have very easily have been killled. The buggy was a long travel buggy with a Northstar. We believe it was red with silver and such graphic scheme. No characters or pics on the buggy, but he had a huge Pirate flag. This was a pirate flag with a red bandana over the skull and an eye patch. Didn't see another one on any other buggy quite like that.

If you see the guy, tell him to paint his buggy and loose the flag. If we see him out there at Halloween........ he or his Northstar wont be feeling very good.

And yes, that's a threat! If you know the guy, let him know that his actions have not gone un-noticed. He could have seriously hurt several people with the rock blast, and almost killed another young man. This is the type of stuff that makes a weekend bad.

Unfortunate.

Hey Rick, Glad to hear you all made it back in one piece.

I told you Saturday night was going to get crazy. I dont have the patience for those ****** thats why I left to avoid any probs.

Did you see the buggy @ comp hill that rooosted everyone numerous times? Bigdaddy told me that the roost was chipping paint off peoples trucks and covered everyone w/ sand and could have taken an eye out. Big Mike went over to mopp the guy up but the guy took off and ran someone over in the process. WTF- Where did all these idiots come from? Ive never seen such idiots there EVER before. Dont get me wrong, Ive seen stuff go down, But the magnitude of drunken fools kinda make me glad my son wasnt there to witness.

Someone has pics of this buggy. Mario, I bet the Margaret has pics or video. Either way, this guy will be approached if he comes back. Buggies doing 85 up comp have a little more risk to others than does a banshee doing 75.

If we are going to continue to pay, then police should be monitoring the hill not just people going to the hill. We went to talk to the police at the trailer. Would you expect that if there was a central point of contact for police (like a trailer with flashing lights) that it would have a person their with a radio????? NOBODY to be found anywhere. That is a bad breakdown in service.

don't get me wrong, it was a good trip and the weekend was very enjoyable. In spite of what this moron was doing.
