Default CDI BOX ?

From what i understand the cdi box is what regulates your rpms. Like the viper has a rev limit of 7700 and the baja had a limit of 7900. SO if this is correct why does the viper and the baja use the same box. When i changed the box both had the same part number. just wondering.

I think that all the new style boxes are 7900 rpms.
