Should I get Bear Claw tires or another type? Help.
I ride in mostly sand pits. There are some med to hard straight aways and lots of straight up soft sand hill climbs. I just ordered a set of Kenda Bear Claws for my 04 DS 650 from Rocky Mountain. They are on back order till next week. I am now having second thoughts as someone said these tires should be run on shaft driven quads due to the weight of them stretching out the chain on the Quad.
I have looked at the: Maxxis Razr II 22x11x9 / GBC Shredder-Rear 22x11x9 / and others.
There have been alot of posts about the mud machines 22x12x9. But I'm not sure if they will get me up the very soft hill climbs.
I guess what I'm asking here is what would be the best tire to get without going to paddles for the sand.
Any input you guys have here would be much appreciated as usual. Thanks, D

Well im on my second pair of bearclaws for my DS, they work awsome everywhere. They might not be the best non paddle tire for sand due to there weight, but they sure grip and fling sand really good. I like them allot for sand, spin just enough and dont grab to much either, i think they work great.......I went down a tooth on the front sprocket.
