Default Coolant dripping from overflow tank?

entomber, i to had a tiny bit of coolent leaking out of my. but after i retorqued the head bolts to 50, the leaking went away.. im running the 13.6 to one piston and it sealed so i am assuming (maybe not) that u might have a chance to reseal yours by retorqueing yours...i also called gary after i retorqued mine to tell him it was starting to leak oil out of the cases but it turned out it was a loose oil line below my strainer leaking on the motor when i rode...lol...dont u hate it when he's right..lol.....im not trying to defend gary because i think his performence speaks for itself....but in his defence i have NEVER have had a problem with mine whether it was his parts or not , that he didnt try 100% to help me fix it......i could go on for hours how UPS tried to screw me out of 4000$ and if it wasnt for gary and his efforts they would of succeeded.....see if its your head gasket or water pump seals, then get all mad and worked up....but at least by then , u can blame the right person.......

Thank you for responding to my post and not flaming me. I wasn't blaming anyone. I just wanted the problem fix and opinions of others that can suggest something here.

I torqued it some more but I think it made the problem worse.

hey entomber, maybe i'm to blame i always take your post as your wanting to flame. you post and bring up a lot of problems, i have to say you seem to cause a lot if not almost all your own problems so when i read these post and you bring up gary, it seems like a flame. but this is what i see, most that haven't taken a engine apart read your post and think your wanting to help them, not get what you have, but for us that have done one of these engines, we read your posts, and shake our heads when we read what you have done. the valves being one thing that comes to mind. what i see is a guy with good parts, but you have the worst luck with installs i've seen.

I simply have NO LUCK. Sometimes I'll admit I rush things cause I barely have time. Bending the valves before was a combination of me and letting someone else helping me to wrench my DS. The guy who put that cam sprocket in probably made the mistake. I'll be the first to admit I'm pretty green around this stuff (and I am learning as I go) but I believe Gary picked up on that when I first called him and I did talk to him several times about the kit before makng my purchase.

If I make a trip out west Sandman I'll be sure to look you up and take a ride on that fast DS. I feel the Bombardier forum here is the best one out of the bunch. Possibly because most owners of the DS650s Are 30+ in age and most feel real humble to help others out.

At this point I'm just going to let my DS sit. I'm doing some slight mods to my Raptor (Piston, Cams, Headporting) then I'll do over my DS. I sure miss riding it. It's almost down time here in Jersey (it's getting cold quick). Perhaps I'll send it out to MRHP and have him dial it in to the gills.

Scoob would those gaskets work with an O-Ring cylinder?

1- runner up king of the dunes - at oregon dunefest single cylinder class- 2003
2- lost to jeff and az ds days 2003- mario was right there
3- runner up 4 stroke class 2004 dunefest
4- runner up king of the dunes 2004 dunefest- single cylinder class
5- 3rd at 2004 ds days lost to jeff and that turbo of garys.

Never saw the need to bring up the trophys or races that was things i enjoyed and shared with my family.

oh and just for laughs- this is all on that crappy little low compression piston, that runs pump gas, that everybody has such a hard time with, oh and the under achieveing tm 45.

sounds like you just wanted a free head gasket

sorry i'm pretty sure i'm just having a bad week, but if you will put the right gasket sealer and a new set of water pump seals you will find you can go ride. go to napa for the seals you'll find them for 3 bucks each

Too funny as everyone loves my "back yard yo-yo" terminology

Cant deny that there are a lot of those sorts in our sport though can ya.

And great to hear about your success with your engine (that is what its about for many of us, getting excelent results etc) but now knowing this I have to let you know that entomber has got something with that engine that just isnt right. I do know that the ds engine doesnt have a bottom end hit like I have set up my honda etc but even though very smooth in power delivery it just never really got the "legs" that I thought that engine should. I mean for myself being a novice private type engine guy who mostly only works on his own and his friends stuff etc I should have been a lot more impressed jumping from a little 440 onto a worked up 720, and that wasnt the case.

Not sure how that may help you or the other guy with giving him advice etc, but if we get weather tomorrow that is good for riding we will see what what else we can find, oops sorry just realized he is running the raptor so oh well who knows then.
