What is a good price for a 2005 Rally

I may be in the market for a 2005 Rally, I was wanting to know what is good price for one, plus any other owner input I can get about the performance and reliability of the Rally. It is for the kids and I am looking at the 125 grizz or the Rally. I think the Rally would fit the kids the longest and be the most capable to handel long adventure rides in the future. what do you guys think?

I think they are $3,200 for a new one right now. if you could get one for that. and no set up fees. that would be a good price. I got mine for $2500 new. but it was a 03 bought in 04. you might be able to find a new 04 for less than $3000. it has been a good machine so far. no problems. easy for the kids to ride. and for long rides the integrated racks come in handy. the only thing I dont like is the foot brake is so stiff. you allmost have to stand on it to make it work. it really is not a big deal. because you have control of both brakes on the bars. also,the choke lever is kinda hidden behind a hose. it takes a little getting used to.

How big are your kids, I think right now the 125 grizz is a better fit but not for long and the 125 grizz would not be a good choice for the long adventure rides we like to do out in colorado, and Utah. The rally has more suspension travel and a large fuel tank. Plus the price on the two is very close. I am still a little conserned about it being a little to big though.

well, my situation is probably a different than yours. my 14 year old boy rides the rally. he has serebral palsey. so, we needed the easiest quad to ride available. it is deffently a full size quad. we used to have a trx125. he quikley grew out of that machine. the same thing happened with my 12 year old. when he was 7 or 8. we bought him a lt80. after one ridding season. he was holding the throttle pinned the whole time he rode. we had to trade up to a blaster after the first year. do your wallet a favor , and get the bigger one first. I wish I would have. its a easy quad to ride. it can be controlled totally from the bars alone. the other nice thing is the floor boards from front fender to back. makes me feel a little safer on keeping there feet on board. allthough the grizz probably has that feature as well. dont get me wrong. nothing against the grizz. I have several yamahas. I just think the ralley would be a better choice for the long run.

I refuse to pay that. thats just another excuse for them to get more money from you. the only thing they have to do generally is get the quad out of the crate. and put the tires on it. I just bought a 05 yfz. they tried to charge me 150 for set up. I argued that I have purchased with them before. they let it go pretty easy. then out riding recently. I met a guy that just bought a 05 yfz. they reamed him for 500 set up. over 10,000 by the time he got out the door. unbeleivable! someplace in salem OR. anyway, title fee is $65.50 and $50.00 title process fee. total over quad price $115.50
