Anyone have the IMS setup and how do they compare to AC propegs or Diamond G's??? Some people are saying the tabs that hold the fenders to the IMS ones are breaking.....Need a full review from you guys so I can make my purchase....Thanx so much..

IMS will only work with IMS foot pegs the Heel guard did break off my mounting tabs on my DS. If you would use a spacer this might not be a problem. The Diamond G's work with stock foot pegs very good fit never had any problem with them.

I have the IMS heel guards, with the stock foot pegs, i love em, they are the sharpest looking out of the bunch, I didnt like the Diamond ones, the AC's were ok, my cousin had them on his DS, they are plain in my eyes. I didnt get the setup tho, i got the AC Nerfs and then these heel guards, no prob fitting. My bars have not broke or shown wear, very good heel guards, i recommend, hope this helps ya

Unlike the previous post, I would not recommend these at all. although I agree they look nice, which was why i bought these, the quality/craftsmanship is lacking and also are not durable. let me elaborate: First off, when I received them, both had numerous scratches on the finish and even the ims logo was crooked on one of the guards, while not a big deal since this is going on an off road vehicle which will see abuse, i definately feel they are not worth the $150.00 I paid for them, maybe half at best. 2nd, and most important, both guards broke and split at the seam where you mount the tab to the peg. I used the supplied spacers when I mounted them to the stock pegs, so even if u use their aftermarket pegs I think this will still happen. If you do buy these and use with the stockers make sure the edge of the heel guard that attaches to the peg is not higher than the peg (you will have to drill) so that there is no pressure when u stand up or they will definately break faster than mine did. I would also note that the welds on these look like crap and also if you are still in your learning curve, these guards do not fair well in a rollover, it seems the stock guards have some flex in them which these do not, they will either bend or break. hope this review gives u some insite, bottom line, they look good, but that's about it. Also, it obvious that these are not mass produced by machines, so the quality will be different btwn sets, so maybe you might be lucky and not have the experience i did. worth noting, is that these are made by ac racing, so if you do a search, you'll find other disqruntled people about their manufacturing skills, honestly, I think mikey from organge county choppers could do a better job. sorry for the long post.
