Default Swing Arm Skid

I have recently purchased an 05 DS650 and I am trying to decide if I need to purchase a swing arm skid. Do you guys think it would be worth the money or should I spend it elsewhere? I ride a mixture of trails and dunes. Thanks

Well I think if you buy skids you should buy stainless steal, Because aluminum grab's on rock like clay, and you might go over the handel bars I hated them. I had them on a Yamaha Craper. now I dont use them on my DS. I found that the real thick plastic is real slick works good.

I have been contemplating the same thing. Any one have any comments on the
Ricochet swing arm guard? I think thats the one I'm going to try depending on feed back.
See link

I am not sure I would do it again. The plastic ones have better clearance and seemed to do a fine job protecting the sprocket and brake. I have already bent my aluminum one and am worried that one more big hit might push it into the sprocket. Maybe a steel one who do better?

Dude, trust me, pro armor is the you know what. Fit perfect on both my DS650s.

I have hit that thing numerous times and no bend no nothing.

Start another thread about pro armor and everyone will agree they have great armor.
