ds getting smoked out of the hole
#1
i went riding with my buddies (kfx400, 426ex) and got smoked out of the hole!!! I am realy interested in information on front and rear sprockets to help me. I also am gonna get some sand paddle tires any information on the sprockets (what size, and where I can get them) would be very helpful.

Drop to a 14 tooth sprocket on front, with a set of 22" Skat Trak Haulers on the rear, just for starters. Just depends on how much money you want to spend.... By the way, you can order the sprocket from Rocky Mountain ATV & the Haulers from just about anybody!!!

Graphic name dude....lol, You should tell us what size tires your running, and how much you weigh. Where do you race? (I presume sand), and whatever else you can think of that might help. For the basics, a 15 tooth front sprocket would probibly help, and you can get them cheap at rockymountainatv. What tires were the others runnin?
Hope this ghelps

you can get them from alba action ( www.albaaction.com) and rocky mountain atv has them for cheap............. ive raced several raptors and my friends got a 400ex.....also raced a z400 and none of them smoked me out of the hole and i was stock they were not.. if you have 22 inch tires on the rear i would go to 15 tooth front sprocket it gives u back most of your bottom and you will have a tiny bit more top speed if you want even more take off go to a 14 tooth front you will loose top speed but gain it in bottom end power.

just remember that your bike can launch a heck of a lotter harder than you think. Dropping the clutch at about 5 - 6k will get you out of the hole like you wouldn't believe and the sled will hold up to that kind of treatment. Just be careful..... you'll feel your rear on the ground REAL quick if your not careful.
on a side note, those 426's are VERY quick out of the hole, but you should be taking it from mid hill on. There is NO, I repeat, NO way you should be dropping races out of the whole to a stock Z. I've spent a little time on them, there VERY wheelie prone and not a bunch of power in stock trim. Now put a little money into them and YES, they are very QUICK!!!
I run a 14tooth front with 22's and I'm thinking about going one tooth up in the back.
Let us know what you come up with.

I weigh 150lbs and run a 14tooth with 22" ultralite 8-paddle haulers with K&N filter & jets and it takes a pretty quick YFZ,450R or EX to beat me out the hole, considering I run a stock swingarm. Hope this helps!!
