and just installed a speedo today which isn't much of a mod.
Elevation. ummm don't know, prairie Alberta
I just installed the pipe about 2 hours ago. I never did re-jet the quad. I haven't done a thing to the carb. Don't know much about the carb beside what it does...lol I did it at my dads shop which there isn't much of place to ride. I just rode it down the street. I don't think the motorst liked the noise. Sounds great altough. Maybe just b/c i'm use to the normal/quiet factory sound.
Is the pipe suppose to give me mostly lower-end power. And not much of a top-end?

170 to 172.5 main jet. Needle in the 4th groove. THis should work for you. When you take off the bowl to do the main jet change the 4 screws the stainless allen head bolts. It will make it much easier to get in there again. The sizes are 3 4x10mm & 1 4x12mm. On the needle just take off the gold colored cover on the top of the carb. Take out the slide and remove the needle. Be careful not to loose the washers or spring and remember how they are on the needle. Put the clip in the 4th position and put it back together. Set the mixture screw about 3 1/2 turns out. Should be pretty close.
