California DS dealers

I am looking to add a third bike to my collection but i want to make sure i get a good price. Clawson quoted 7600 out the door for a 2005 baja x. After buying 2ds, 2waverunners and a foreman 450 i thought this was quite steep. If anyone has any names and numbers of a good dealer with cheaper prices it sure would be apreciated. After spending that kind of $ at clawson you would think they would work with you. They suck.

Paid $7,300 OTD for 05 X at Tulare Honda. Then again I got a great deal because I know the owner. The lowest anyone else would go is $7,600 so you are in the ballpark. The problem with the steep price is dealers around here (Cent. Cali.) only get one bike and they usually sell the same day for MSRP so there is no reason for them to deal.

Hey, 2Big2Fast, I grew up in Kerman and escaped my parents vineyard and moved to Fresno after college. Actually, I miss Kerman and wouldn't mind living out there, but just not in town. I bought my 03 Regular DS at Clawson about fourteen months ago, and got a pretty good deal ($5400 out the door-which in CA would be $4800 plus taxes/fees) because they really wanted to get rid of some leftover units. To get the best possible deal from Clawson, just call and ask to talk to "Crazy" (I think his name is Greg Ham, but if you ask for "Crazy" they will know who you are talking about). Don't tell him that you have dealt with anyone else there, because I don't think he can help you then. He is the outside sales manager and, supposedly, he can get you the best deal that they can offer. I would think it is worth a try.
Where do you ride your bikes? Do you ever ride down at the San Joaquin River bottom?

I have seen some deals on EBAY, but if you can't seeum before you buy them, hold on to your hat

there is a dealership 30 minutes from me that always has a swinging deal. they have an X left from 04. I would guess you could get it out the door for 6000-6400$. I wouldn't mind throwing it in the trailer when heading down to sand mountain utah or DS days if ya wanted to wait. Make a road trip in a couple months save 1500 on the DS and go on to St anthony (2 hours away). the money you save will pay for the trip. I think this was jetsnows scenario.

Thanks for the input guys. I let Clawson stick it to me again. 05x 7600 out the door. You all know how it is, when you want it price isnot an issue. I either want it now or dont want it all. My wife calls that being spoiled. thanks again
