Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Oceana County Park, Mears, Michigan. On lake Michigan.

 

Last time I was there was on a weekday and was not checked by anyone for sound or spark arrestors. I was told they were strict which made me a little nervous because my HMF is obnoxously loud. On a busy weekend, they probably pay closer attention to detail........

 

There is a few from our club looking to go there in the end of May sometime for some drag racing. We may end up going to St. Joes instead. Ive been there quite a few times, but I do have a question, hopefully someone will know. In may, my gixxer motor swap will be done. Has anyone ever run into any trouble with this type of thing at SL? Meaning, because the original motor is gone, is the state sticker still legit? Dumb question, I know, but I needed to ask.

What i've seen at Silver Lake
1 Three wheeler get sound tested. Had an FMF pipe on it. They told him it was border
line, but let him in. He was hot Rodding it. (Excessive revving)
2 let my friend on a raptor go through with a raptor full FMF pipes. He figured if he was
going to get stoped that would be he time.
3 A lady asked what kind of pipe I had on my DS. She went and got someone to take
a look.. My pipe was a stock one.
