How is the DS in the woods?
#1
I am going to be in the market for a bigger, badder quad after my daughter is born in Jan and the DS is still tops on my list regardless of the Raptor. The only real problem is that I ride mostly in the woods. I know that it is primarily a sand machine but I really like the appearance of it and would love to have one of my own. Thanks for any info!

I have an 87 quadzilla that i woods ride with every once and a while i dont fit. i figure the ds is the smae size as the LT500. So u shouldnt have that many problems. I also have a +3 axl on the rear of my bike. So if the front clears watch out for the back tires or you are going over the bars.

No problems here! Your only talking about 7 inches wider. Not all trails are the same width as a banshee, 400 ex,raptor. ect... If they are, then people real stick to the same old beatin path. ds650 overall width 50 in , raptor overall 43.3 in. Right off the spec sheets!! Only one problem I have , cant wheelie the thing very far!

The DS is fine in the woods, you just have to get used to it being wide. I ride with riders that have widened axels and they have no problems, but I am still getting the feel of things. I do ride at cooper creek atv park about 120-150 miles from St Joe MO. It is south of Clinton MO.
