i dont mean to sound like a jerk but you bought a qs1 pipe??????? did you expect it to be loud? i have a stock pipe with a end cap in the garage. it is very loud. i will sell it to ya for 175.00. or a trade? Aren't the QS1 HMFs made with a series of baffles, instead of a quiet core insert? If that is the case you might have to butcher the inside of that muffler to make a difference, and you might very well end up killing any performance gains, and ending up with worse performance than stock. Sounds like you just bought the wrong HMF if you wanted noise. My regular HMF was the loudest exhaust of 40+ ATVs at a desert race last weekend. It was so loud I felt like a dumb kid with the most obnoxious ATV on the block. The extra noise did seem to get other riders to move over when you were right on their butt trying to find a way to pass them though, so I suppose loud exhaust may serve a purpose for racing. Other than that I would sure prefer mine to be a lot quieter than it is.

DesertViper, I know how you feel about having the loudest, most obnoxious bike... I have an Eseries, with an open end cap, similar to an HMF. My bike is the loudest out of everyone I ride with. It sounds like a frigg'n Harley. Once we were at the dunes, and I let a friend ride my bike so he could ride with his son. About an hour or so later, I was at camp, and heard this bike...it was so loud...I thought to myself, man that the pipe needed some serious repacking...then lo and behold my friend comes pulling up from around the RV. I can't see why anyone would want a loud bike...but I guess everyone has a right to there own opinion...
