Easiest description is octane rating is measure of resistance to ignition.
Lower the number the quicker it will combust.

The 87oct advances the timing more than 91oct without going in to the motor. You want to run the lowest grade gas as you can with pinging.

Everyone says the procom cdi advances the timing.What will happen when used with 87 octane?
Do i have to worry about burning anything up?

I've been using 91 or higher I didnt know
using 87 would make it run faster even if
it does Im still gonna use what it recommends
to use. CONGRATS ON THE DS!!!!!
