is it ok to use a vented batt in the ds? does anyone use one? i can get a very cheap one if its ok. and what if it leaks out the vent?

can't trust a wet cell battery not to leak out under hard hits or wipe outs. gel batt might cost more up front but they will take the punishment of off road and last a few years, where the wet cell will shake apart and need replacing more often. have had a gel batt mounted on it's side under my seat for 2 years now and no problem at all.

 

Gel is the only way to go,,you get what you pay for.
