They're loud! Mine was tested by a ranger at 105dB somewhere around 3000RPM. If you ride anywhere that does sound checks your not going to pass by any means.

Teebone56 reported this on another thread.

"I had the sparky end cap sound checked yesterday......11 disks was exactly100dbs.....8 disks 98.5........6 disks 96 I ran 7 disks which put me about 97.3 which is still acceptable they allow you 1.5 over it ran pretty rich cut out in the mid range so....I removed the airbox lid to lean it out a little and it ran pretty good, more bottom end over stock. I believe it runs best with 11 disks I will be taking it to the sand in 2 weeks where I will be able to open it up more. I am pretty pleased with it so far It does have a nice sound "

I saw your dyno numbers were running 14 discs. Have you done any dyno runs using only 6-7 discs and jetted down slightly? I'm curious what type of hit you take to get within dB requirements.

I run the hpr, it is loud, but it had a really nice tone to it. It sounds mean, not raspy at all. Crazypainter dyno'd the hpr against his Ron Woods system, If I am not mistaken it only like 2hp difference, and about $500+ price difference. That would buy you a carb and really put you ahead of the game.
