Default 04/05 DS bearing recall

Yah this is no April fools joke. I work at a Bomb dealership and we have seen a couple
of toasted bearings. One was so bad it took the housing and the axle. If I were anyone
who owns a 04/05 DS CHECK IT PLEASE. It will save you some pain.

Where can you find the model number on your bike? The recall is only for certain models and I own a '05 DS. If someone could let me know where I can find the model number it would be greatly appreciated.

My rear axle bearing broke. Wish I would have seen this recall in time.

DV: Some recalls are retroactive. In other words if you saved your receites from the parts and labor, you can take them to your Bomb dealer and get reimbursed. Does this hold true in this case? I have know idea; but it's worth an 800 phone call to Bomb.

the model number is on the same sticker as the vin number. I have an 05 ds X and my sticker is on the right side of the frame on the bottom frame bar just obout where the a-arm connects. hope this helps. mine is one of the models in the recall

You can find the model # under your vin # on the sticker on your frame. 05s (0003A5A00, 0003A5B00, 0003B5A00, 0003B5B00.) Here is the #s for 04s (000799700, 000799500, 000771900, 000771700.)
