Didnt notice any symptoms other than the bike died after only a few minutes of running, and no fuel was entering the float bowl. I think it might have been some type of vapor lock, or just from the fuel being left setting for a few days. Im no mechanic but it solved my problem.

Well she is flowing again but I'm still not quite sure what was holding up the fuel supply. I pulled the bowl off last night and messed around with the float arm and needle it makes contact. With a cup under the carb to catch any fuel, I gave another blow on my fuel vent until my face turned blue and wala! I looked in the cup for any object but couldn't find anything????

a lot of could have to do with your gas cap and vent line.
The brass fitting you guys are talking about is called the seat. Then the needle fits in that (i call that a mini spaceship, since that what it looks like to me). I was having this same problem with my yfz450 on alcohol. I could not keep my floatbowl full. However it ran fine on gas. I got it narrowed down to my floats being on backwards.

Thats sucks dont it Steve? I dont know what the heck it was, I took my bike out this morning and it did not do it. I fixed it (temperarily) by running through the whoops very fast, It must be something stuck in there or dirt maybe, try to clean it out or find some deep whoops. Let me know how it goes. Its got to be something stricking the floats maybe. Thats why I like the TM48mm carbs, I never had this many issues with the tm carbs.

hey i took the carb apart and the alky seemed to gum things up a little even though i drained it after the last ride. It seems to be working fine now. Running the alky is a pain in the *** so far, hopefully the power is worth it.
