St. Joe Memorial Day Weekend....
I was at St. Joe Sunday and the dragging was awesome. Fallen tree was the best place to race this weekend for the starting line was damp and tacky with whoops at a minimum. A really nice feature at St. Joe is when you get really hot and sweaty there is a nice clear pond to swim with a groomed sandy beach. There is no food stands but there are soda machines and ice at the pay/Ranger station.
Memorial weekend is going to be packed so come early. For those of you that don't want to camp there is a Days Inn not more than 6-7 miles away. If you plan on trail riding bring your skid plates. Park opens at 7 am and you can ride until 8pm. $3 per day per quad to ride, and you need a helmet and a flag which you can buy at the pay/Ranger station.
There is a 2 day (Sat/Sun) sand drag bracket race 13 miles away in Bonne Terre for those of you who want to check that out. Practice starts at 4 and racing begins at 7 pm.
See you all Memorial Weekend
