Default for those who changed their timing trigger "on coil"

how far did you move the trigger over? i have some keys but dont want to use them. iv been working on my trigger and have only moved it a verry little bit. any more and the cover will hit the bracket. thanks

I moved mine as far as it would go until the cover interfered. I would suggest making a new bracket with an offset mount. I would guess tweaking the mount only gets about 3 degrees and a new mount might get 5.

if your right on the edge for octane and you advance the timing do you need to increase octane?

I measured a 4 degree advance and it was right on the edge of touching the cover

is there much of a performance increase to be had by advancing the ignition timing on the DS motor ?
